Desde la Asociación de Jóvenes Nucleares Latinoamericanos, ya hemos presentado la candidatura para que la sede del IYNC2016 se desarrolle en Latinoamérica.

 

Existe un numeroso grupo en Argentina que trabajó en la documentación necesaria para competir y ganar la sede para Buenos Aires con visitas a Bariloche y Córdoba. Puedes descargar el BID de la candidatura Argentina2016.

 

La documentación a presentada fue la siguiente:

 

Overview of the Nuclear Industry. A discussion of the nuclear industry of the host country, including, its history, significant organisations, major events, locations/installations of interest, etc..

 

Proposed City. In this section a description of the city where the majority event will take place (ie. The technical programme, not the technical tours) should be described. This should include why it was selected, cultural interest, ability to facilitate large events, etc. You are encouraged to include pictures, maps, and website address for further information.

 

Proposed Venue. In this section the conference venue should be described, including capacity, catering ability, accommodation options, etc. You are encouraged to include pictures, maps, and website address for further information.

 

Travel. In this section the travel options from a selection of major cities from around the world to the venue should be described, including:

 

• Frequency and cost of flights

• Travel to and from the airport to the venue

• Other possible international and local travel considerations

It is better to highlight and address any drawbacks in travel in the bid instead of it being questioned and addressed during the Bid Presentation stage.

 

Accommodation. In this section the accommodation alternatives should be described, including the range of hotels available, costs, student housing options, and distance from the venue. You are encouraged to include pictures, maps, and website address for further information.

 

Technical Programme. This section should describe the overall theme of the event (if there is one) and highlight the proposed technical tracks and the expected nature/type of papers for each track. A schedule of the event should be include in this section of the below section.

 

Technical Tours. This section should go into significant detail of each proposed technical tour, including:

• Proposed schedule for event (i.e. what days the tours and events will be on)

• Venue/Installation description

• Reasons why Venue/Installation were selected. (ie what is unique or what will be learned)

• Travel logistics to and from the Venue/Installation

• Number of delegates per tour

• How delegates will be divided between tours

 

 

Special Events. This section should include several venues for the mandatory Special Events (Opening Reception, Cultural Event and Farewell Dinner). First choice of venues should be identified as well as contingency locations, along with pictures of each venue.

The Cultural Events should be an activity or dinner that reflects the unique culture of your country. It is not necessary to identify which venues will be used for which events during the bid process.

Include activities that can are being proposed as Saturday Optional Events at a cost to participants.
